Greeting Cards For Runners

Greeting Cards are used not just to convey a message or greeting; it is also an acknowledgment of who the person receiving the card really is to the sender. When someone is special to you, you want to let them know just how special they are: funny special, awesome special, weird special or just especially special!

By choosing an appropriate card, you recognize the special qualities of that person, which is why you have greeting cards for runners (once a runner, always a runner), greeting cards for stamp collectors (philately yours), the musically minded (if you'll just stop listening to your iPod for a second, I have a greeting for you), or for any kind of particular hobby, interest, or talent that the person may have.

There are many options if you want to send a greeting to this dear friend of yours who is a great and wonderful person but is a hopeless nut completely addicted when it comes to fitness. Say this friend of yours simply cannot do without his daily run, it is possible to find one from among a lot of greeting cards for runners that is just right and says exactly what you want to convey, whether it is an "Ease up buddy" kind of message or a "Keep it going, we are really proud of you," kind of message. For that fitness freak friend of yours, get a card that encourages him or her to let go a little at least on his birthday. Picture a great big gooey chocolate cake, and inside, it says, "Damn the calories just this once: It's your Birthday!" or something similar.

It's fun to pick cards that convey a birthday, New Year, or other holiday wish and at the same time have a reference to a pal's idiosyncrasies and eccentricities; er...I mean 'special' qualities. For example, if your friend is a diehard runner who is basically always at it, get him a card that is something like this: There is this running track and everyone is dressed in their party finery and birthday hats, jogging along with the runner who won't even take the time off running to enjoy his own birthday party, and so everyone has to run along and keep up with him just so the party can go on! I think any runner would enjoy getting a card like that.

Or picture this: There is this man at a shoe store looking at all the running shoes options available these days. There are Motion Control shoes, Stability shoes, Cushion, Light Cushion, Pronator, and all kinds of other varieties to choose from. He is looking rather zapped as he says, "Don't you guys sell running shoes anymore?"and the inside says, "Hope you find a shoe that fits." Rather clever, and bound to amuse a keen runner!

Send your runner friend a Christmas greeting with Father Christmas in running shorts and a singlet, huffing and puffing, running hard in a race, with the milk and cookies running just as hard to keep up with Santa!

And if you are lucky enough to be with a person who shares common interests with you, it makes a lot of sense to get a card that conveys that shared love for something, and also conveys the warm and intimate nature of your relationship, which is perhaps cemented by this shared interest, hobby, or pastime.

Picture, if you will, a couple locked in a passionate embrace at the finishing line of a race, with a line that says something like, "We run so well together, hope we'll be together at the finish line." You end up saying such a lot: that you love being with that person, that you have a great time doing things together, and that you love the fact that both of you like similar activities.

The right greeting says so much about what you feel; it's worth the effort to find just the right one!
